im not sure on suspension as my first goal is to make the interior right hand from left and out of carbon fibre also the fuel cap is round so i need to think of some way to make a new one. i do want the lp640 wheels as this kit is the lp640 also im going to reinforce the shell out of carbon fibre so i don't need the metal frame every were maybe just on the sills and places

Peggyontherun

@ asn - yip them toyota boy dont like but each to there own :-) i wouldnt bother with the hydrogen kits at the mr2 doenst burn that much fuel compared to some cars

Ok i have been looking at roll cages the last few days and nothing will fit my car so i am going to make a template out of wood and my local engineering shop will make one for me. Here i go just picture the wood as round bars it wont look that bad :-)

The steel bars are just in there for support of the wood

Peggyontherun

Ok what a day i am wrecked after today ok put this straight piece in but i didnt like the look of it so out with it

This is better now

Starting the passenger side

Inside view

Peggyontherun

Passenger side started

Frame coming along

One of the inside sections all put together

Back piece nearly finished but home time as it late

bluehornetrider

The car was looking like you were nearly there, why the roll bar? unless your going racing it's going to add a lot of un-needed weight.  Spoils the interior as well, just my opinion I love the roof vent, is it just for show or will it link up to anything?

Peggyontherun

@ bluehornetrider - i wasnt going to put a roll cage into the car but its something different and its only for show it will look and suit the car as i have photoshoped it in the car some will like it some wont

Got the top section finished yesterday most of the day was taking up as we installed the drive shaft back in my friends corvette a two hour job never again.

Cage out of the car and re-assembled got the bars last night for the roll cage what a long day yesterday was

'The Gaffer'

I would be just worried about bashing my head on it all the time

Peggyontherun

'The Gaffer'

Great dedicated work there, I just wonder what you are going to do when this one is finished ??? 8)

David H

Maybe, with a roll cage, you never know,... it might get thrashed round a track or something.

The dedication is admirable.

Peggyontherun

@ The Gaffer - When this baby is finished it will be stored in my heated garage for awhile until this comes :-) and i will be doing a LP640 Lambo convertible as well the year is planned out for me
