Polishing Sheet Metal

I have finished the pedal box cover for my locost.

Its made from sheet alluminium, whats the best way to get  a nice finish on the ally?

I have used Autosol for year as well along with buckets of elbow grease.

For most bare metal I've found a Meguiars metal polish does a fantastic job on chrome exhausts etc.

A very fine wire wool to start with then to polish with your favourite polishing cloth.

I'm sure if you wanted to go the expensive route then Dodo probably do a polish that will work fantastically well but it will not be anywhere near the realms of cheap!

Had a quick chat with a detailer I know and he said that most Alu polishes leave a mark.

The polish needs to be specific to Aluminium and Autosol do one for anodized finish which works in his opinion so similar to those above, other items he mentioned were Blue-b-gone by Smartwax and Alu-Bright by Raceglaze but he hadn't used those.

Looking forwards to seeing the before and after pics.
