Hi,

Just joined from over the border in Wales. I drive a Vindicator kit car that has been converted to electric power.  Last year it had about 100bhp and I raced it at half a dozen events between Castle Combe, Curborough and Pembrey. This year it's power has been increased to well over 200bhp and will have to fit some new rubber and batteries before it goes out onto the track again. Drove it to the MOT it last year in temperature of minus 8 - even in motorcycle thermals it was frezzing - must be getting old!

That does sound interesting. How long does it last before it needs a charge?

Hi John and welcome.

Bet there's not many electric kit cars out there!!   Well done that man! ;) ;)

Hi. Wow electric powered! It wasn't a Toyota Prius before, was it? Lol

Looking forward to hearing more about it.

Hi everyone, thanks for the welcome.

There's a picture of the car loaded in the "recent" part of the gallery. It's set up for sprints and hillclimbs at the moment, so it's only got a small battery pack to keep the weight down. That keeps the range to less than 20 miles on the road. The plan is to trailer a bigger set of batteries around on the road to boost the range to 50 to 100 miles, but I'm having too much fun racing it to sort increasing the range at the moment. Hoping to get it to Weston Pageant of Motoring, but this looks unlikely as my tow car is in for serious repairs at the moment.
