Title: MORGAN CAR COMPANY --- A FACTORY VISIT
Post by: 'The Gaffer' on 23, January, 2011, 01:20:07 PM
We have had a kind invite by the Westfield Sports Car Club (Cotswolds) to join them on an organised trip around the Morgan Car Company factory in Malvern. I know it's on a Friday but it promises to be a worthwhile few hours of motoring fun with some like-minded car enthusiasts.........

DATE           FRIDAY 11TH FEBRUARY 2011

TIME           11.30a.m.

WHERE        The Morgan Factory Visitor Centre, Spring Lane off Pickersleigh Road, Malvern Link. WR14 2LL

WEB            http://www.morgan-motor.co.uk (http://www.morgan-motor.co.uk)

COST          £10 per head

If you have an interest in seeing how cars are still hand-built in this country, get your name down quick --  just 8 places are booked and these will be available on a first-come-first-served basis although they seem quite relaxed about numbers and this could be increased. What we get on the tour..

·        A Fully Guided 2 Hour Tour

·        Museum visit

·        Film Show

·        Exposure to the inevitable shop

We will see both the traditional cars and the new Aero 8 models being built – the Aero 8 has some impressive modern engineering in it

Afterwards we will retire to the Nags Head, one of Malvern's best pubs that is nearby and serves excellent beverages.

It should be a fun visit!!! Who's interested?

I've done the factory before and it's very interesting so highly recommended.

I'm definitely interested but will check work commitments before I say yes!

I'm in.

I assume that the places reserved are per person, not per car load.

Can you put myself and Almondsburyhills down for the visit please, this sounds like a good run out, who do you have to arrange it with?

Hi YellaBelly,
Your more than welcolm to ride shotgun with me. You won't need helmet or warerproofs and you could bring along your favourite CD.
Don't know where the meet-up is yet, nor if we're convoying or even meeting up with the WSCC lot !

I have asked Casino (Peter) to take care of the organising of this one fearing more site problems.

I would hope he will be in contact with us soon.

Hello,  I've been waiting for a reply from Andrew (WSCC) . My e-mail to him has been picked up but no answer yet . I also phoned him an hour ago and the phone rang out.
Phil I will forward a copy to you of my e-mail.
I had asked if we could pay our £10 entry fees "at the door",  and where were the WSCC boys meeting and at what time.
I hope to post full details soon.

At last. I've spoken with Andrew at WSCC.
We've now filled our number allocation of 8 and unfortunately we will have to draw a line under the list.
I've sent full details by e-mail to all those involved ( except Dixie and I've asked Phil to forward ).
I,ve now got to try and change my password.

I may pop along for a catch up. I won't need the cornerweights set up again as I have only just had the car set up by Dave Gallop.
