At last, I've got around to getting my overdrive unit reconditioned and running. ;D. So with 2 clear days of not needing the car on the road I set to on doing the badly needed conversion. This is more or less a straight swap for the old Marina gearbox only half an inch longer and that can be taken up be the sliding adjuster on the propshaft.

With the gearbox removed I could Compare the gearboxes. :P

Next job was to remove the old bellhousing from the old box and fit to the new one. Refitting was pretty straight frward I just had to make a new support bracket/strap.

Finally a little wiring to a switch on the dash, it normally would be on the gearstick but the switch I got with it was damaged. So far test runs have been positive, the big test is tomorrow going to Weston. Will have a boot full of tools, just in case. ::)

At least you have a boot to carry your tools.. Footwell for me but its a good job the wife is only 5foot tall :D :D
