Cyclone4

New Price below!

For sale my Cyclone Kit Car, originally built for hill climbing and has raced & won its 2.00 ltr class at Finlake Hilclimb MC 1999.
Full FIA spec which is rare for this kit. Electric kill switch, drivers harness, braced roll cage etc.

Only 32 built by Car Craft, 30 remaining so very rare, chassis 4 build. These cars stick to the road & handle exceptionally well.

Non Q plate registered, fully lightened & balanced vauxhall 16v redtop engine, Cosworth bottom end bolts, standard cams, Omega flat top racing pistons, F20 gearbox, carbs twin DHLA 45 Delortos, block & cylinder both decked, running MBE 956 ignition for which I have original software.

Painted in BMW Montreal blue, GTE digital dash-board, seats fixed with movable pedals on turn handle with brake bias control.

Engine mid mounted with space at rear to put T-top doors in fitted bags for storage takes 2 mins to put back on. Fuel, Battery, minor storage at front bonnet. Comes with a heater too.

Car is SORN & garaged I have not used for 2 yrs so am reluctantly looking for a new owner. Never failed on MOT since I purchased in 2008, only 3k on engine since built I have receipts for £13,500 from new & I insure at that value. Rolling road by Janspeed with some minor tuning there is more to go, very quick only 750Kg 0-60 about 4.5 seconds

Job to do: Fuel cap needs re-thread as I cross threaded it aluminium! Battery will need a good charge or replace when purchased.
Any Qs please ask?

Somebody buy it before I end up with two in the garage... They really are that good.

How come you haven't used it for so long mate. Shame it's off the road as you could have joined us this Sunday to Prescott & stuck a for sale sign on it. You may get a lot of interest there. Good luck with your sale mate.

'The Gaffer'

I have seen this car and met Rob who is a really nice guy.

The car appears in sound condition and everything appears to work. The seats will need replacing unless you don't mind faded material as will the battery. It started fine with no smoke but I suspect the carbs might benefit from a fettle as the car has been standing for some time. The bodywork appears in good condition with the odd blemish here and there but should polish up nicely. From what I could see of the chassis, it looked solid with the option to paint in a few places, same to be said for the wishbones - Don't forget this is a 1997 car so it's not going to be perfect, but there is plenty of scope for personalisation and a bit of tinkering. I did not get the chance to drive the car properly as it is SORN and on a private army camp but the gear selector and clutch seemed OK.

Don't buy this car on my recommendations though, it is your responsibility to see it and make your own decision. The above were only my initial thoughts and I would certainly try to somehow test it properly.

As for the Cyclone brand itself, I can honestly say I have found mine to be the most practical kit I have owned to date. I like the way I can put a roof/ doors on in a mater of minutes and I also like the fact it has a heater :). The car seems very composed on the road even though I have not had it set up yet. It is also quite quick and attracts a lot of attention - be prepared to talk about the car whenever you stop somewhere.

Anyone thinking of buying a kit car should contact Rob and go take a look, its not that far away in Salisbury. If it were me I'd try to get the car MOT'd and taxed before taking it away, and who know's he may be open to offers??

Good luck with the sale Rob. I have added pics in your ad.

Thanks Phil,
If anybody is interested I am available day and evening to meet up as I work at cars location through the day, only 1 mile to my house.

CC Cyclone

I will second all of Phil's general comments about the cyclone. I've had several kits in recent years but I must admit the cyclone has suprised me the most to date. I'm proper impressed.

Cyclone4

Thanks,
This was my 1st Kit and hopefully not my last! Great to see more of them down south in circulation as is a Great car! 8)

If anyone is wanting a cyclone for the summer I am reducing the price any offer over £5500 would be considered.
Please contact me on robertchisnall@me.com if interested. I would accept £5000 due to loosing storage this year, let me know if anyone is looking for this type of car Thanks.
