A newly rebuilt engine. 1.8L type 4 complete with carbs, airbox, alternator, working voltage regulator, and all the tinwork.

Can be seen running, and is complete enough to drop into a car.

Pictures of all internals, camshaft, bearings (also pictures of plasigauge, to show clearance at lower end of specification).

All tinwork chemical stripped to remove every trace of rust, cold galvanised, and painted in stock black. A few pieces of tinwork, that are holed or not perfect have simply been cold galvanised, and not top coated. These could be patched up, or replaced, or if required the originals could be repaired at extra cost (by cutting and fabricating patches from new steel)

The engine was rebuilt, requiring one exhaust valve to be replaced, as well as the bores to be honed. This was due to rust, but as the engine was stripped without being turned, nothing has been scored or scratched.

The assembly was carried out in a workshop, using graphogen assembly compound, and good practice. A new filter and oil where used, and the engine first flushed to remove any particles, before being fitted with another filter, and filled with clean oil.

Pictures are available of everything important, including the cam lobes, and bearing shells. The pots, and heads (these are obviously now hidden under the air ducts).

The engine has been run enough to tune up, and check for leaks. It should be ready to go, though 500-1000 miles of more gentle 'running in' would be advisable.
