Surreal Combe Track Day

OK, yesterday I went to Combe to buy some oil for the mini from Merlin Motorsport and noticed quite a few cars in the paddock. I immediately thought it was a track day, but then I saw what most of the cars were and thought it couldn't be. I asked the guy behind the counter about what was going on and he said it was a track day which was a bit of a surprise when you see what cars people were using on track.

I took some pics because I thought that nobody would believe me otherwise:


Yes, thats a Volvo estate 
It was  a Volvo track day and most of the cars I saw on track were estates. Very wierd.


The turquoise one on the left was running slicks!!



There was an estate which went round sounding like the crank had blown up. He managed to leave a trail of oil around half of the track. What a plonker. If your engine makes that noise, pull off the track and turn it off, don't continue driving around the track only to spoil it for the other drivers.

Hope that oil is sorted before tomorrows event. there will be some expensive cars running around there, (and Anna, lol)

I like the fact there is a vovo support car there on hand for them.   
Fair play. It is fun driving your car around the track what ever it may be.

Agreed, I have driven a Volvo T5 estate, that was pretty quick.

i always like the old t5. i drove one also a while back and was fairly nippy but as it was high miler boy was the handling shocking. listed like a boat lol
