 8) Wish I had one then I could at least use my car now that its insured..
Is it easy to put up?

YellaBelly

Looks good ;)

I'll be glad when I can get to add sidescreens and doors to my half roof so at least I can stop the water getting on the inside of the screen and on the rear view mirror!! Damn turbulence! :)

In a word....NO!!! ::)

Trouble is the hood hasn't been on the car for two years it's been stored in the back in the cold all winter, thus it's not very supple making it really hard to fit.

I brought it indoors for a couple of hours before trying it on.

It had shrunk-back at least an inch so fitting it was a nightmare......much pulling and broken nails resulted in it being partially on but i still needed a hair dryer to get the final side clipped down.

I'll leave it on for at least the week so it will stretch to fit again......probably made in a summer when it was hot!

It better rain tomorrow for the South and West Mini Show!!!! ::) :D

It is raining mate so you can travel down in your hood with a hood  :D :D, I' grounded so no can go in my hoodless Mk  :(

Grin-a-lot

I'm not sure we're expecting a dry spell anytime soon so it's probably a good investment in your time!

Moleman

When I put mine on I found it didnt fit after it had the rollbar upgrade before I bought it.
I got round it by getting the local shoe repair shop making me up some leather tags with poppers on.

He only charged me £20 in total.

It has lost it's shape bit but it fits now.

It only been on when Ive taken it on the trailor when it's raining or parked up somewhere & it started raining.
I haven't driven it with it on yet. It's feels very cramped & hard to get into, even when your just under 6foot by 6 inch's like I am.  :D

You should see me trying to get in the Hood today at the show.....whole of the body in except for one leg poking out......not very elegant, thou Dixie etc.....found it hilarious. :-[ :-[

(Will post some pics. soon.......of the show not me!!)

Bulldog Bri

Its a nack to even my car getting in and out with the roof up as I don't have doors just the side screens, Tony (WALLNUT just managed it :o Lol) Annas car does, so will be a little more dignified. ;)

I find it's one leg in followed by head leaning all the way over to the other side of the car to bring the other leg in then twist as I sit. Easy NOW!  ???

It's even worst when you got a passenger already seated in there......bit embarrassing, they think your going in for a snog!!!!! :-[ :-[ :-[ :-*

Krazyken

You can see how rumours start can't you. :o :o :o

You have to be a contorsionist to get in and out of mine with the hood on! Having a removeable stealing wheel helps. I find that leaving the hood on for a couple of days helps to keep its shape and stops it srinking.

That's the plan!! ;).....leave it till at least the weekend!

I gave the hood a good soaking today and didn't get wet at all ::)......really snug with the heater on, should have put it on in November.......!

Is that why you always leave last when at a meet so we don't fall over laughing  :D :D :D.. I think I would strugle too to perhaps not a good plan to up-grade  :)

Reckon we should have a competition to see who's slowest at getting in a "7" with hood and side doors fitted and be seated with full harness on!!!! ;D ;D

No good Santa trying......he couldn't get into mine WITHOUT the hood fitted!!!!! ;D....lol.......mind you, the driver's seat is oniy 15" at it's widest. :o
