Had another day at combe on monday. It went well though one moment ploughing through the feilds.  :-[
This is the moment.  :o
If you watch closely you will see my car twitch at the same spot the lap before

The steward had informed me (after taking the mickey) they had been notified of some fluid on track & was going to check it out if they had anymore complaints.
& it was fliud on the track though I think i may have started to accererate abit hard just at that moment.  ::)

It took about 20mins to clear out some of the mud for now then I was back out again.
This one is abit longer so if you want you can start it on 8mins & you will see me doing some ploughing through the field this time like you are supposed too.
I also start getting quicker & start setting lap times of 1.22    8) much better than last month.  ;D

I haven't bothered to go through other footage to see if I went quicker due to you tube keeps playing up, not that it matters, just curious to know.

After that day I spent my evening of 2hrs hosing down the underneath of the car while it was on the trailor. then 2hrs doing the outside, then 1hr doing the inside.  ::)

If anyone needs any top soil i now have plenty  :P

Nice video, I'm there 9 May, can't wait as since my last trackday I've had geometry done, new box and decent tyres so it should be great fun!

Moleman

Thanks Fullpint, Yes going infield is always better.  ::) My lap times are getting ok.  :)
Grin, you there on a combe trackday? I didn't know they did them on a tuesday? You doing Llandow that Ken is organising?

Grin-a-lot

Work has booked Combe on the Thursday (might not be 9th) so that'll be good.  If it goes ok then I'll see if there's space at Llandow.  I might have to get a camera to record these things, do you use a gopro?

Moleman

Yes. you can borrow mine for the 9th if you don't get one in time if you like?
Try getting a second hand one on ebay as they aint cheap.

fullpint

Colin; Can't justify taking a week day off  :( due to current work load.

Best laugh i've had for ages Colin :P :P......priceless. :P :P :P :P     Love the way you calmly put your had up to the driver you passed then on replacing it immediatly went ploughing accross the infield.....brilliant!!!!

Definately get thousands of hits on You Tube!!! ;) ;)

I think I would have to name it spins on the curcuit or something like that for it to get lots of veiws tony.  :D

Thanks colin. I have got used to saving the westy on damp combe alot since that day we went to combe. These are with trig aswell.   :D
I'm getting the hang of combe now I done some dry trackdays at last. I haven't tried my slicks yet though so that will be my next learning curve.  :)

'The Gaffer'

I'm really surprised they didnt check the spillage out as soon as they were informed, your 'off' could have been a lot more serious :o

robp

Great video, Colin!

You're right about the car twitching in the same place on the previous lap.

Good ol' Combe, always greasy!
