Don't write it off yet, it probably has just become a slightly larger project. ;)

Pictures will be interesting, a good indicator of what is bent and where.

That's a real shame, even though you've sold the car it still feels like you've lost something.

Hairy Santa

that is a bummer, I liked the colour scheme on that car

Foggy  - are you sure he didn't have the removable steering wheel in his pocket  - think about this  - Weston sea front  ;D

SPAXIMUS

I built a Westfield and sold it before it was SVAed, I finished the car had it tested, rolling roaded and the new owner registered it and came to collect it. He drove away and did two weeks driving and put around 800 miles on it.

On his way to a club meet, a young guy in a Fiesta came tearing around a corner lost it and hit the Westfield on the rear wheel behind the driver, writing it off and the peugeot that was behind. Luckily no one was hurt.

I had got to know the new owner and his family and when he rang his mum to tell her the car had been smashed, her first words were "what will Jeff say after all that hard work". A bit surprising that she never asked how he was!

Fortunately I had sold him the car for £10995. The car was taken to Westfield who said it was one of the best home built ones they had seen. As a result the insurance paid out £15k not bad for two weeks.

He never drove one again.
