MoT fail

Ratbag failed the MoT yesterday Heres the list, page1.

Noisey o/r wheel bearing.

Is that all. should have rev'ed the engine while he was turning the wheel, then he wouldn't hear it

It remains though that I should have known better. The wheels usually only turn when I'm driving so with the exhaust noise, wheels bearings aren't heard.

Back in the Lotus centre days, practically every car sold off the forecourt had noisey wheel bearings. Don't know why but light cars that are stood awhile seemed do that.

Not too bad at all. I ordered a new one on ebay at 12.30pm on thursday 5th, using the Click and collect at Argos and have just collected it at 4pm today. Thats not bad either .

Would have been even better if they sent the right one!
Luckily Camber Dave had one and saved the day.
I borrowed a slide hammer off Dave came home to remove the shaft and it came out easily, went back to Daves and fitted the bearing then back home to fit the shaft. Sounds a long way to do it, but glad I did as the A46 and the A420 were well attended with camera vans. Anyway Ratbag is now motted, as there doesn't seem much on I may leave the tax till April.
