I read with dread on page M13 of the Motoring suppliment in the Sunday Telegraph.

It suggests that from 1st April tax is on the increase? a 4x4 in band M will increase from £450 to £950, and so on depending on your CO2.  Now it does say new cars?? but it also gives bands.

Can anyone put mind to rest?

Thanks Mark

What???? :o :o they can :P

I've no idea if thats true Mark, I hope not.

Dixie

just read it again, and it definately says "New" cars.

Existing cars in band A will pay nothing.  Bands B-E will pay between £20 to £110, F-K  is between £125 to £245 and band L will be £425 and finally band M £435.

A person buying a new Vauxhall Insignia 2.8 will pay £950 per yr.

Thanks Mr Brown.

Yep. Remember when that was first anounced, Sheer loonacy, look how 4x4 were needed in the snow earlier this year and how many won't be for the next big freeze. Global warming. HA!  >:(

How can they demand money like that with the state of our roads at the moment!

We should be billing them to repair the roads, they are a disgrace!!!!!

We will have to be careful......as we know hitting a pot hole at speed could be disastrous! >:(

Hairy Santa

Be great if the road tax we pay went towards the road repairs that are so surely needed

HGV's pay through the nose  - but you have a look on the next bus you see - check out what they pay - it's a joke

have fun dodging the potholes

I havent been on a bus for years - primative unhealthy horrors which owners think that even side window demisters are a luxury. But the fares are obscene :(

What do they pay Pete?
