It was a bit of a doh! moment.   

Still, at least it means I can get the colour a bit more consistent. I was never 100% happy with it, as is the kit car way!

If you have ever polished the inlet ports all the way into the pushrod passages when porting a 1275 A series head, long time ago but a lesson learned the hard way!

That detailers moment when they forgot to check paint depth in more than one place, you are not the first.
You could have done that on a customers car e.g. Nissan having forgot the paint is thinner than a few other manufacturers vehicles. That wasn't me btw
