'The Raleigh Rally' on Sunday 4th September, is an informal meeting for petrolheads. It will be at Sherborne Castle, an attractive stately home in north Dorset surrounded by landscaped grounds and a large picturesque lake - perfect for a family picnic.

Besides being a meeting of enthusiasts, we're also hoping to raise some money for the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance. We raised over £700 for them in 2009. We will have a small raffle of prizes, and already have a rather exciting private tour of Lotus Renault F1 up for grabs and a BMW motorsport book signed by World Touring Car Champion, Andy Priaulx.

We've negotiated a discount for the day of £7 per car, which, as well as giving access to The Raleigh Rally, allows you to look around over 30 acres of gardens. Normally you would pay £5 per adult. If you wish to look around the house itself, there is an additional charge of £4.50 per adult (£4 senior).

As part of the day, we aim to take a limited number of cars to visit the nearby airfield base to meet the ambulance team and have some pictures around the bright yellow helicopter.
