I have recently tested some Carbon Lorraine RC5+ Pads.

If anyone is interested in some pads that have out performed the rest please check out my review.  ;D

'The Gaffer'

Nice review Dave. I am really pleased with my Carbone Lorraines too, apart from that rattle :)

Will see if they do them for my van as well.

Excellent news that you've finally found a braking setting up that works. Was the heavy passenger Andrew?

LOL!

No it was someone else but he is no bigger than our Andrew!!

So me not being an expert on brake pads, do they stop you better than the Mintex 1144 which seems to be one of the favourite suggestions.

Thanks

Kevin

Mintex 1144 are very good pads for fast road. I have managed to glaze those pads fairly quickly on a track day. I haven't managed to glaze or fade the RC5+s

In my opinion the RC5+ are better pads if you are going to do some very spirited driving

Weight of the cars is a massive factor here though. You never needed RC5+ for either Westfield

No I didn't however the RC5+ is Carbon Lorraine's market version of Mintex 1144/Ferodo DS2500

The RC6 is the same as the 1155/DS3000

The only thing is I have no idea if Carbon Lorraine do pads for the calipers I used to use on the Westy. I didn't experience any vibrating problems on the Westy full stop and it is this problem that has lead me to trying different manufacturers.

On my Westy I used Wilwood Polly A pads which i loved.
