Looking for a good rolling road

Hey guys, I joined this forum last year but have not used it do often! But I plan on being on more! I have just finished building a gbsc zero and have now passed iva and registered the car! I have only managed two 30 min trips this week due to the weather and not having a windscreen or wet weather gear! In driving the car I can now see it definatley needs propperly set up on a rolling road! I have a brand new 2.0 blacktop zetec running jenvey throttle bodies and an emerald ecu. Does anybody know of a good rolling road with a technician that can actually map a car correctly with uses an emerald ecu? I live in taunton so would be wanting it to be fairly local!

Welcome back to the club Craig. Not sure of any rolling roads in the Taunton area, but expect someone on here will. Well done for getting your car through the IVA, did it go through first time?  :o feel free to post up some pics of the car. Hope you'll make ot up our way for some summer meetings, if and when the weather improves.  ;D

thanks for the Reply, i have been looking at TSR in bridgwater although they are an audi/vw specialist they have a rolling road and use emerald/jenvey set ups on custom vw's. im guessing it doesnt matter what engine you are running (ie wether its ford or vw) the mapping process with emerald will be exactly the same, i have had work done on various vw's with them and they have always been top notch, so i might give them a ring tomorrow.

as for IVA i cheated a little bit and returned the car to GBSC in nottingham for a PRE iva inspection and then for them to take the car for its test for me, i figured as they are the manufacturer of the kit and they IVA at least 2 cars a week at nottingham IVA center that they would have a good relationship with the IVA tester there and also know exactly what will pass the test and what wont. they had a look at my car and in the end it only needed the fuel map for the engine leaning off a little to pass emissions, a few covers here and there and the lights setting up, so overall my build was pretty much spot on!  i just panicked about IVA and threw the towel in at the last moment! it failed IVA on the first inspection due to the speedo computer on my acewell dashboard not playing ball, but after a bit of fiddling it passed on the retest.
