Just rang VOSA to get an update on my IVA application:

They took my cash on 18 May, and I have just been informed that they are currently working on jobs from the 14th May!!! 

So I it's going to be a week (hopefully less) before my application even gets processed. Then, assuming it is OK, I am going to have to wait to hear from Bristol test station which could be anyones guess

I've got 2 trips to India and one to Texas between now and the middle of July, so sod's law says the date will be during one of those!

Just tell them that your tax pays their wages so really they work for you and that if they don't get a move on you will take away their gilt edged pension.  Always works well!
