Thanks, its been hard going and she is fighting me all the way, but having said that I am still enjoying the experience!  ;D

Is anyone coming over next weekend? If not then I wont  keep up the rush with it. Maybe a few of you could come over later in year if available as I know it clashes with Goodwood!

If you could let me know asap if anyone is coming over. No worries if not.

Cheers  :)

Sumov8 is going with his kit car. I will be but without mine.  :)

Hi gary. I have your Pm. For some reason It won't let me reply to you or send a Pm to you. Have you had any messages before? I was wondering if you have set it by mistake so you can't get receive PM's as it keeps coming back blocked? The only thing I can say is Pm me your Mob number & I will txt you our plans so far for the weekend.  :)

Just back from Isle of White. Well what a HOT weekend we had! :D
It was really good, Sumov8 has taken some pic's which should be on here soon. We had a good drive down there & around the island before going to the hotel.
We did Osborne house & Carisbrooke castle on the saturday which was really good places to visit.
We met up with Gary h on the Sunday. Had a look at both his projects & I must say his Spartan looks good on the photo's but it looks even better close up.  ;D
Then we all headed out for the day & it was a good day & nice for me & SumoV8 to follow someone on the island who knew where they was going. They made us feel really welcome & I think we should do this again next year with a few more kit cars in convoy. hopefully with both of Gary h's kits done & me making sure I don't do a trackday a few weeks before we go.  ::) ;D

As Colin has said what a hot weekend that was, we had a great time as you would expect with that weather, hood stayed in the boot and we just plastered on the sun lotion.
Good run down, no engines blowing up or throwing a con rod so that was a novelty for some.

No problem getting on the boat, loads of ground clearance, well about 25mm.

Hotel was what we expected nice and clean staff friendly but decor a bit dated so we ate out on the evening

We did the touristy bits

Drove around the coast roads in and then out of pot holes, I have never driven on such rough roads, all the time Colin was smiling in the super sprung Beetle

We managed to meet up with Gary who was a great host, took us to his lock up and then a car show, followed up with lunch in a very nice pub, a Super host "Many Thanks Gary"

as Colin has said you have to see the paint work up close to appreciate it.

Gary tells us the roads are all going to be overhauled in a massive investment, so this is definitely a venue that you should put in your diary for next year.

Many thanks to Colin and Rachel for organising a great weekend and being such pleasant company

Gutted I could not make it.. Hopefully next time my son would of sorted out his life.. But we do like looking after the grand-kids.
Love the IOW.

Well what can I add it was really good to meet up with Colin, Steve and their partners. Thanks for the compliments about my spartan. As they said it was a really hot weekend and most enjoyable.
Good food and good company shame about lack of cars, including mine !!!!  :(.
Will have more time between now and next year to get more organised and better prices on ferry and accomadation so if theres enough interest next trip will be a proper convoy  :) :) :).
