Struggling to value my engine...

I want to sell the original engine from my kitcar but I'm struggling to value it as I can't find examples like it on the internet.

All I know is that its a crossflow 711M block and I reckon its the original engine from the car so I suspect its not had the unleaded conversion.  Its got (I think) all the bits that are needed (apart from the water pump and rocker cover) to build an engine but needs some de-rusting.

I'd appreciate any thoughts, i'm guessing £200 but not sure if that's a bit optimistic?

What is the capacity?  I am interested for a truck we have at work.

Good point! It's a 1600, block number 711M6015BA.

Going to check tomorrow morning.  The one we have is a 1300, but has toughened valves due to LPG.

Well I am interested in the motor.  Spoke to the engineers and it will fit our 1300cc truck with a bit of modifying.

Does £150 sound sensible?

Dixie, thanks for the offer but since I've not advertised it yet I don't really want to accept 75% of what I think/hope it's worth.

I know I can get more if I sell in bits but then that takes more effort... Decisions, decisions, decisions...

711m blocks are getting like hens teeth, i paid £200 and traveled long distances (Surrey etc) for standard blocks when i used to run a crossflow in mine and that was a few years ago!, Ebay would be a good shout to sale it ;)
