Disappearing doors are not original.  I took one off a car with a motorbike years ago .

Far too much to go wrong me thinks, a sunroof is bad enough

That is good. But it is bad enough when your electric windows dont work! This would be a nightmare if they failed while your in it.

Would be interesting to see what would happen if your battery went flat and your bonnet release is inside the cab
