It is amazing he has got this far given the state of his injury but he will likely not be the same person any more. 

There is hope.  I saw and article about a toddler with only 5% of his brain following a tumour but he had mobility, sight, hearing, memory. speech, personality and a sense of fun.  We can only hope for our hero.

I always hated him only because no one could beat him & it got boring. Now I admire what he achieved & hope he does recover.

Never was a big fan after his first 2 seasons, but still one hell of a driver, and hope he makes a good recovery.

Don't like saying it but I doubt if he will ever "recover".

My daughter is an Intensive Care Nurse, she is used to working with patients with similar injuries that have been in comas
for long periods of time and she does not hold out much hope for him unfortunately.

Very sad for a great driver.
