Grease gun

Has anyone got a decent grease gun that I can borrow/use? ::)

I do have one but it's never worked quite right and just squirts around the sides of the grease nipple. :o

I did a complete rebuild of the front suspension last weekend and now after driving for a few miles the steering does feel it gets stiffer. I did use plenty of grease during the rebuild but would just like to make sure it's totally filled. ::)

I think my father-in-law had one (he's passed on but I'm pretty sure my mother in law kept all his tools.) Next time I'm round there I'll have a rummage. Failing that pop over to your local farm - I worked on a farm as a teenager and most of the tractor attachments needed a few strokes on the nipples every week so unless things have changed dramatically then farmer giles is likely to have one to hand!

I have a gun but I have had similar experiences with mine as you are describing so not sure if I'd class it as decent. I found clearing the nipple out with a needle solved my problems - I think the little ball bearing can get stuck sometimes, or if it's really stuck take the nipple off and give it a soak in some warm soapy water.

I'll be out working on my car tomorrow morning, you're welcome to pop over (Totterdown) and give mine a try, promise I won't tweak your nipples :o

Thanks, not gonna have time this weekend to get over there, but will have a look to check to make sure it's working right
