Mid morning run down meeting, Think the best place for full meeting place would be the large layby just after Hursley Hill and before Pensford. (As used before) 10:00am

Yeah, I think I am up for this one, can't zoom in on the map for the meeting place,I am guessing that you drive through Whitchurch A37,go down a hill that sweeps a left hand bend, there is a lay by there, is that the one? Do I check up in the morning to see if its a goer, or just turn up in the lay by?

Bulldog Bri

Yep, thats the layby.

Looking at the forecast it's gonna be Ok weather so I'm definatly going. See you there 10am

My sons got the Hood for the day so you might bump into him.......literaly!!!!!! :o

Think he's going over the Mendips so give him a wave if you see him. ;)

'The Gaffer'

Bad luck on this one, opened the garage door to be greeted by that familier smell of fuel and a puddle on the floor from a leaking tank.

Nothing for it but get soaked in petrol again and take the tank out, this time for a Ali weld or brand new tank.

The void with a wet floor

I really thought that plastic weld stuff was going to hold and was really looking forward to the run today :(

Bulldog Bri

Sorry to hear you had prob's with the car again   :'(

Turned out to be a nice run down, Joined Dave B, Casino, Foggy and WALLNUT at the meeting place and then on down. Met up with Andy just passed Gurrney Slade on the way down and then carried on down to the museum.

All the cars behaved and traffic was ok for a bank hol' so no complaints there  ;D Not been to the museum before and really enjoyed it. especially the red room.

Missed the huge swarm of wasps  :o that flew over just before I came out of the gift shop but those that did were running for cover but they did pass over peacefully

That was a very enjoyable visit.

I have been to the museum before (many years ago), but can't remember seeing that many cars!

It really is an impressive collection.

I took quite a few photos, they can be seen here:

Hairy Santa

Sounds like you all had a good time

sorry to hear about your car Phil

That is a good selection of photo's there Dave - I have enjoyed them

'The Gaffer'

Glad it was a good day. Nice pics Bri and Dave :)

Yeah it was a shame about my tank Pete, ah well at least its a 5 min job to get it out now.

'Mendip Wurzel'

Glad to hear you all had a good day, wish I was there. The Hotrod photos in Dave's selection is certainly SOME Hotrod.

Kevin

Glad to see you had a good day. Some great photos taken. I went there last year and was amazed at how many cars they had and the quality too. Great selection of motor bikes aswell with the speedway bikes being a real bonus as I was mad on it as a kid (Bristol Bulldogs). Managed to see all the cars my dad had owned over the years too. I don't think you could get bored how ever many times you visit.
