How to see inside this picture.

1. Put your face close to the screen. Relax your eyes or try to look through the image, pretending it doesn't exist. Of course you won't be able to see anything yet because image is too close to the eyes. Try not to blink.

2. Then start to move back from the stereogram very slowly. Your eyes naturally will try to refocus back on the image but you will need to force your eyes not to do so. Keep looking through the image and moving back from it slowly at the same time. If it happens that eyes focus on the image start Step 1 again.

3. Once you can keep looking through the stereogram, keep moving it (or your head) back and force very slowly. At some distance, when patterns overlap each other, you will notice that something strange is happening to the image. That's a very good sign and after a while you will see blurry levels of depth or some 3D images.

4. Once you can see blurry 3D picture, keep looking at it this way. Don't force your eyes to focus yet, they will need some time to adjust. After a few seconds or minutes you'll see how image snaps and becomes very sharp. When it happens you will know that you can see the stereogram.

All I can see is rows of girlie faces.

Perhaps I should take off my vary-focal lens glasses or even unscrew and take out my glass eye.

When I first saw these 'stereogram' pictures they were on posters outside a shop. Everybody around me was going WOW look at that. I just kept staring for ages thinking it was some kind of candid camera prank. Then all of a sudden I could see. It was like a miracle .

Once you 'get it' you sort of know what to do to see them again.

The secret is to get about 4 inches from the screen, really relax your eyes and move back VERY slowly.

Good description by Dave Bence saw it straight away, keep focussing beyong the picture and it will fall into place.

I have a book filled with these as well. Find them easier to see with tired eyes

Tony, and anyone not seeing a really in depth 3d picture, you should be seeing 3 cheerleaders' with pom poms.

       You got a lot to answer to. Ive been trying to find those pom pom girls in your so called pic, a few times every day since you posted. In fact, ive been having dreems about it. The last straw was this morning when I was having 40 winks in my chair. I was dreeming that one of the pom pom girls was giving me a kiss under the mistletoe, only to awake with my dog sat on my lap, licking my face, which might sound OK to a lot of dog lovers, but my dog weights about 7 stone and got a tongue as big as a wet blanket.
