The Hampton Ferry Car Show -  Sunday. 3rd July 2011
Hampton Ferry,
Boat Lane,
Evesham.
Worcestershire.
WR11 4BP

The show is open to the general public 10am till 5pm.

Denzle has taken a great deal of effort to organise this car show and the BKCC has an open invite. The show should prove to be an excellent day out for families and petrol heads alike so lets do our best to support him and his event.

All types of vehicles will be on display including Army vehicles, Motor cycles, Police, Ambulance & Fire services. Vintage...Veteran...Classic...Hot Rod...Special...American...Static engines...And lets not forget Kit Cars :)

There is a trophy and a yearly cup to the chosen car of the day drawn by number.

There are no entrance fees other than a small £2 parking charge for public vehicles. Arrive when you can and leave when you want - no forms to fill out - no pressure. This is a layed back show set in the beautiful countryside next to the scenic River Avon but only 500 Yards from Evesham town centre - So maybe a great opportunity to combine some shopping with your visit too.

The showground has its own restaurant where you can buy a sandwich or a full carvery at very reasonable prices. Denzle wont mind if you bring your own sandwiches though ....... In fact, why not bring a picnic?

Details of Hampton Ferry inc directions can be found here http://www.hamptonferry.co.uk/

Convoy to the show.
A convoy will be organised to the show. THIS WILL BE FOR BKCC MEMBERS ONLY. There will be a 77mile run using some great driving roads, weaving a route across the Cotswolds with refreshment and toilet stops on the way ending up at Denzle's Car Show at Hampton Ferry, Evesham. It is hoped to form up a mega convoy from the Show and ( for most ) using the A46 and M5 southbound home.
Watch this space for convoy announcements.

The show supports the B/Ham Childrens Hospital Oncology (Cancer) ward, a place close to Denzle and his family's heart, so lets all do our best to support this event and make it a great success :)

Interested members from previous thread, put your name down if you want to join in..

No problem Adrian,

I think what you are doing is a fantastic thing.   I wish I was young enough to join you.

I wish you the best on your bike ride and hope your legs and back side stand up to the strain..lol

                                               Denzle..... ;)

Quarrycars

The missus and I definatly plan to be at the show, unfortunatly in a boring tin-top so not much point in joining the convoy but looking forward to meeting some club members.
I belive that Denzle has guaranteed good weather and I can't think of a more worthy cause.

I have told the rain gods that if they come, I will set the missus on them....And believe me, they wont like that.   She can be vicious when she wants to be...
I know.!

                                 Denzle..... ;D.... ;D.... ;D

RMW50

Denzle,

Unfortunately I cannot make it because I am at Goodwood that weekend, sorry. I spent a full day last week cleaning and polishing my mother's Morgan, and she is interested in coming along, so if you see a very shiny yellow Morgan then don't forget to say hello!
Here is a picture of my hard work, what do you think?

Hi Everyone,      H.F.C.S.... ;D

Just to let you know we have had some great donations for the Childrens Hospital raffle at the show, from local business people.

Tescos....Morrisons...Birmingham City Football Club...The Co-operative society...and even the local corner shop..Plus my contribution of four sets of metric spanners... 8)

Now we have a nice tool box from B&Q..... 8)
Also a £10 meat voucher from the local country veg shop.

Best of all was....The Morgan Factory..... Who donated approximately £90 of goodies.  Plus two banners for the show. :o      Three cheers for Morgan.

Along with the Medal, Trophy and Prize Cup, there will be some fantastic prizes to win.

Dont miss it....                  Denzle.... ;)

Should be there.  Just a bit confused with meeting point,  coming from Bristol M4 junction 18 is it south towards Bath on the A46 turning right on the roundabout and the carpark on the right passed the highways agency?

Many thanks for the compliments Gaffer.  I have just finished return emails to all the people who have emailed to-night saying how much they enjoyed the day.  I think the weather played a large part of it though.
I must now take a couple of days off to recuperate from the stress and the warm weather, as for myself and others it was really a weekend event with the preperation taking place on Saturday.
Mrs Denzle and myself must then start to count the raffle money taken for the childrens Hospital and get that on its way.

Thank you again, I am very pleased you all enjoyed a great day by the river in Evesham.

                                 Denzle.... ;)

Quarrycars

Well done Mr & Mrs Denzle, great event, great venue and great weather 8).  hope you raised lots of cash for the kids charity.
What a collection of vehicles, everything from and 1911 White (I thought they only made steam cars) to a Land Rover fire truck.  Amazing the see a surviving Austin 1100, I must have dismantled a dozen or more of these rot boxs back in the '70s to build Rangers and Magentas.
Even the Missus enjoyed the show:

Although she got a bit bored and we left before meeting everyone, sorry Gaffer.  We'll try and catch up again somewhere ;D.

andygtm

Yes, thanks Pete for a lovely scenic route to the show, it was a great day. Did not think there would be as many cars there aswell as a great array of models. My daughter enjoyed herself too. Thanks.

Now thats what I like to hear.   Glad everyone enjoyed it.

When I returned home after clearing up the show ground, my inbox was full of emails saying how much they enjoyed the show, and how people mixed in with the friendly banter to each other.
This atmosphere, the fantastic cars and the beautiful weather made the day.

Will post the slde show video when completed.

Many thanks to those who came, I am very pleased you enjoyed your day by the river.

From one very happy chappy, who has almost recovered from a very hard weekends work.

                                                       Denzle..... ;)

RMW50

Denzle,

I am really pleased that it went so well, sorry I couldn't get there. Mom and Andy said they really enjoyed it, they both said that everyone was really friendly and made them welcome.
Well done to you and Mrs D for all your efforts, hopefully catch up at Caring with Cars on Saturday (maybe on the convoy from Strensham services?)

WELL DONE DENZLE .  What a cracking day.  You must a absolutely delighted and at the same time knackered.  A big thank you also goes to your wife and your band of helpers.
The convoy numbers was disapointing but on the other hand , knocking 25 minuites off our arrival time at our halfway halt ( this even alloud WALLNUT to have three roll-ups and a plate piled high with bacon and a couple of eggs ). A further 30 minuites was shaved of our arrive at the Show Ground leading a convoy of seven. I'd like to thank the guys and girls in the convoy for driving sensibly and hope you all enjoyed what I call good driving roads.
Sorry to have missed Quarrycars. I searched the show ground and public car park accosting gentlemen with beards and wearing a straw hat.
It was also good to meet up with stevel in his great looking Tiger. Hope to see you out and about again soon.
Well done again denzle  - now go and put your feet up.
