Sunday Meetings

Any chance the Sunday meeting could be moved back to either a late afternoon or early eve slot? If the Keynsham venue wasn't to everyones taste nor was the Bull, maybe this could be moved to the Riverside as well till another venue could be sorted that suits a majority of members...  ::)

The Avenue Drivers club in the morning is ok but not really about kit cars! Sunday lunchtime just breaks the whole day up so nothing else can really be done duing the day!
(And unfortunatly for me, I work the afternoon shift till late, so unable to attend the weekday meeting to make up for this!  :(

How about between 4 and 5 at the Riverside as the nights are now drawing in fast, think we have tried most other options and the last one wasn't to bad a turn out, also gives people chance to do Queens Square if the fancy takes them

who is up for it ?

YellaBelly

Definitely prefer the Riverside, much better venue I reckon :) Time is not really the problem for me, it's the distance, but I'll get along when I can.

I dont really know what to suggest, I have tried :'(

Seems the Riverside is favoured but times dont suit all, Sunday lunch meet died a death.

Time for a review over the winter maybe.

dave_bence

I'll come along at about 4.30 tomorrow for a beer and chat, before it gets dark :D

I could always bring some candles !!!!!!!!  ;)

Hairy Santa

well looks like another cock up, went to Queens Sq this morning with Colin and Alister, it was very quiet  - no wonder, we got the wrong week

but who gives a monkey, it was a lovely drive out, with a breakfast at the end of it

So lets have 2 monthly meets this month - TODAY IS STILL ON so see you all between 4 and 5 at the Riverside -

and make the most of this brill weather, it will probably be pissing down next week

dave_bence

Oops, I hadn't noticed it's the wrong weekend either :-[

But, as Hairy says, it's a lovely day, so I'll be there this afternoon.

Bulldog Bri

Sorry Pete only just seen this. Though I couldn't have attended with the Bulldog, the Fan belt snapped on the way home from work and I nearly cooked the engine getting home before I found the problem  :-[ :'( :o

New one on order from Ebay...  ;D

ill have to try and make it, what time is best to be at queens square on the sunday? as been meaning to go there for ages, might be good to try and sell FRP

robp

Yes, will be at Queens Square about 9-9:30am. Will try to make later meeting too depending upon how boozy Sunday lunch is.

Bulldog Bri

Bulldog fixed, so should be at both Queens Sq and Riverside, :D, as this is the last month on the road...  :'(

Will be at the Riverside after Grand Daughters birthday party so may have some baloons and cake with me

Riverside sounds good depending on the BBQ tonight and the head ache in the morning :D

Sumov8

Not sure if its the rain or the pub that people dont like, as we got there in time to see Brian's car but as we walked in one door he must have left by the other.
Hung around for an hour and then went half a mile down the river to the "Bird in the Hand" a better selection of beer
large car park out the rear and fully covered by CCTV, with a nice set of tables to sit down and and chew the cud
we would recommend this as a meeting place if the Riverside does not meet peoples expectations. :P ::)

'The Gaffer'

Rain, wind and cold for me. What a horrible evening :(

I'm quite happy to check out any suggested new venues for next season.

Hairy Santa

Hi Guys,
sorry I didnt show
I went for a run in car straight from queens sq and got totally soaked, and as athe weather at 4 was crap thought no one would show up for the meet at the riverside
lets hope it clears in the next  week or so - see what else we can arrange

robp

Just to say it's Avenue Driver's Club this Sunday.  Weather forecast looks OK so I'm planning to head to Queen's Square in town at 9-9:30am.  Hope to see some of you guys there too.

Hairy Santa

recon I'lll pop down for breakfast

paintman

If the weathers okay I may go to the Avenue Drivers meeting.

'Mendip Wurzel'

I pleasent morning, nice breakfast any fairly sunny weather. Met Casino, Hairy and SumoV8

Very good day, needed the coffee after a couple of beers to many the night before, watch the rememberance service on the Centre, did a Geocache and saw some interesting cars, but you can tell it's getting into the winter as it was light on the ground car wise. ???
