If I'm leading (as usual) then it will be normal convoy speeds between 40 and 50 on the open roads, other than that what ever we're stuck behind.  ;D Lol

You mean like a bulldog? ::)   ;D

Sumov8

Fair play to Brian, I have seen his car on the road all this week, rain and all!! :o :o

evolution

Tell me about it, trackday developments monday, soaked and filthy down those lanes but end result worth it. Still haven't finished cleaning all the countryside debris from the engine bay  :( :(

Happy for you to lead, but keeping a convoy together at any higher speed on 'A' roads gets silly.  :-X

No you're ok, happy to follow the master. Want to get a steady run to see if the new chip has improved low off turbo fuel economy and a 90 mile run should give me a fair idea.

Moleman

Not sure I will make it at the meeting point on time so don't hang around for me I will catch you guys up. I shouldn't be far behind. :)

dave_bence

I'll be there on both days.

I've still got the BKCC banner, so I'll make sure I bring it ;D

Looks like Walnuts camper van (Aka BKCC Stonleigh HQ) has been sold :(

Anyone with a camper is welcome to bring it along, there is a free pass waiting if anyone would like to oblige. Walnuts van has been a great centre piece for our club site over the years offering shelter, tea and coffee's and secure storage.

I will stay in second gear then  ;)

Bulldog Bri

we are bringing the fire pit up with us again, it was good to sit around in the evening. Anyone got any old wood to burn (not wet) bring it along. Also planning on taking the trailer to carry tent and stuff so happy to put a few bits in for anyone struggling for room in thier car.

OK Pete. When you see a yellow flash shot passed you can take the wide load sign & flash light off then use your other gears.  :P :P :P

If no one has a campervan I know Dave gallop from track developments mensioned to me that he had a double gazebo going begging if we ever needed it for club meets. Don't know if the offer still stands or whether someone can take it up there?
I can ring him tomorrow & see if that is the case. If so I can even pick it up on Friday or saturday but won't be able to take it up there. But I can take it to anyone who would be able too take it & I don't know what size it is folded up either?
Hope this helps?

Nice idea but maybe a bit too much hassle?

Sumov8

Myself and Alan will meet anyone at the Junction 18 layby, aiming to be there for 08:45 rain or shine.

Will check the forecast before loading a tent so may just make a day of it :'(

Dazzer

I'll be at the Jct 18 / A46 layby as well. Weather forecast not looking too bad, cloudy but hopefully dry  8)

Bri,

Good to see that you are still hardcore and planning to camp, all being well me and Emily will be camping - is anyone else going camp BKCC or are most staying in local B&Bs etc?

Rich

Moleman

I have booked one of the cheap rooms on site so I will be around.  :)

hoobahole

I wont be coming to the show but would like to ask a favour.

I have an item sold on ebay which the buyer did not realise is collection only. He is going to stoneleigh and we have agreed that i would leave the item at the stand and that he could collect it from the stand.

If there anyone based near horfield  going on either the sat ot sunday that i could give it to before?

If so, could you pm and we can arrange for me to drop it round. It is a westfielf dash trim so is long, but not wide or thick.

Cheers,

Roger

The Great Redmondo

Just thought I'd let you know that my attendance is looking doubtful this year.  Just had an engine rebuild and I've got a misfire problem which we can't trace. I'm hoping the car gets looked at today/tomorrow (Interpro) but not confident all will be well.

Mustang Tony

Thinking of coming Monday if weather half decent, Is there enough room for me on the club stand?????

Grin-a-lot

Thinking of coming Sunday only with my wife, depends on if I can put the car back together today.

Casino

We'll be up at Stoneleigh Sunday. Will come over to BKCC Stand PM. Casino & wife

Me and the Boss are coming up Sunday, staying in a nerarby Pub/B&B so easier to get there early :D

Shame I'm just a little late with the Locost though :(

Hairy Santa

Just cancelled the room for Sunday night, but will still prob turn up for the day during Sunday

have we got a bigger parking area this year, because going by the people and cars that are stating there coming we will have no chance on the area we normally get allocated  -

danwilko

now officially a married man and back from my honeymoon its back to the cobra  :D

ill be there on the monday, but car is no where near ready yet,  :( ill make sure i come over for a chat, as will need some advice/help on setting up the V6 engine, more on that on my build info, which i will be putting in more detail soon.

Not everyone is coming in their cars Pete and over 2 days, dont think there will be a problem. Sunday might be a little busier though.

Bulldog Bri

Think we might have to try and camp on the other side of the road from our club site if we getb to many cars turning up. or just put our tents up when people start to leave.

8)

Grin-a-lot

I'm aiming to meet near J18 and because I've got a silly small fuel tank (and an uneconomical carb powered crossflow) I'll need to stop for fuel.  I'll bail out of the convoy just before Stow on the Wold (there's a station on the side of the road we'll be on) and I'll attempt to catch up, if not I'll see you there!

I don't think we have the campervan as stated so it will prob be ok for you to put your tents up on the stand? If not then you will have no worrys after people are leaving on sunday & I dont think many are coming on the Monday. PS you aint got a spare tent for my westy as I don't think it will fit in the room.  :'(

The Great Redmondo

Definitely won't be going up in convoy, will spend a little time investigating in the morning and see whether I can risk driving up on my own.

3 quick photos from Sunday of the BKCC pitch.

Nice to meet you all.

Just one of the BKCC stand, if it works, first time trying to add an image.  Charlie enjoyed the day and sitting in Pete's Spectre.  See you all again in a few weeks at Track developments.

fullpint

Good to see the weather was on your side. Hope it's dry for them today..

Sumov8

Looking out of the window it was the Sunday that was the driest, fair play to those camping for the weekend
the evening entertainment seemed very good and the atmosphere was as you would expect.

Nice to see some new face's and some very impresive cars in the parking area.

Internet very slow today so adding an image is taking for ever so will try again later.

Bulldog Bri

What a fantastic day Sunday turned out to be, those that dropped out on coming up, even for the one day missed good weather, good chat and a good show as usual, with a good chat aroubnd the fire pit in the evening.

Today (Monday) did turn for the worst and yes it rained. We still enjoyed a lovely breakfast in the Farm Store on site (thanks Pete) and YES! Pete had his usual 2!  ;D

Plenty of space

Good chat

Cheers Everyone

Still dry!!  ;)

Nice selection of Cars! :o

Who said there was a recession?  :)

dave_bence

What a difference a day makes ;D

It was packed outside and indoors on sunny Sunday, I spent a really good day mainly looking around the club displays.

Wet on Monday, only a tiny few cars outside, so I spent most of the time looking at the new cars and trade stands indoors.

I bought quite a bit this year, got some good bargains and thoroughly enjoyed the show.
