What to do with my spare engine?

I've got what I think is most of a spare engine in bits.  It seems to be a 1600, 711m block crossflow which is in pieces in my garage.  I've got a 1740 crossflow in my car at the moment.

I've not got the time/skill/experience to build and sell it so I can't decide whether to sell the bits or keep for spares.

Part of me thinks I should keep bits as spares incase mine goes mad but then I guess I don't need pistons, conrods etc.  Part of me thinks that I should keep it and get it built so that if mine dies catastrophically I can do a "quick" swap and get the car back on the road.  Finally part of me thinks I should sell the bits and spend the money on bling stuff.

So what to do?  It's taking up room and I'm not using it but sods law if I sell it I'll throw a piston and be needing an engine.  Perhaps I should just keep some "come in handy" spares and flog the rest.

Any advice for an indecisive engine owner?

Flog it and save for a zetec or duratec.. Just my 2 pennies :)

It's only taking up space, sell/bin/weigh it in (this coming from the guy with heads, blocks, gearboxes and other bits and bobs hanging around for years "just in case")

Missus keeps falling over a pair of swinging arms with brakes and hubs still attached in the shed.....she threatened to throw them out herself but she can't lift them.....lol :P

Joking aside......I would sell what i could on Ebay and ditch the rest if it wont fit the engine you got.

I would keep it you never know you might need it you can never have too many engines

What money do you want for it?

No idea to be honest with you, i'm fairly sure its complete but wary of advertising it as such as i've not checked it out fully.  I would probably have trawled ebay etc to find something similar and priced it based on that.
