I know the Spire is nearly road legal, but had to have this.  Been looking for a Moke to run around in (as they have 4 seats for the family).  This one is 90% restored and has 1098cc Cooper motor with 48 Weber, mild cam and sports exhaust.  All the rust is cut out and new paintwork is fantastic.  Needs a few hours in the garage to finish, then another registration process as I have to fit seat belts.  Not sure about the wheels but can always sell on and get a set of Minilites and R888s.

 8) Looks like a real eye-catcher.. Wheels as you said need to go. Not in keeping with the old Moke..

I got a big box of bits too - just need to work out which ones go where.  Here's a pic of the engine bay - someone has been busy

Wow they have been busy either that or they had a bulk supply of red paint  ;D Again very neat and tidy. Look forward to seeing your final touches on the 'Moke'..

No probs, just left click IMG code next to your pic this should copy it, open your forum post and paste the code into it. Your pic will then appear when you post.

Nice buy, you are gonna have some fun

I built a AEM Scout (later version of it )in the early 90's with a bit of a hairy lump in it - cornered like it was on rails

Enjoy  ;)

Pete - yep should be fun.  Also get the feeling it should handbrake turn quite well.

That is one of the cars I have always wanted.

I've always wanted one too - ever since I built my first Mini in the early 80s.  Now a member of the Moke Forum in Oz.  There are loads here - I suppose as a result of 26000 of them being assembled under licence in New South Wales from 66 to 81.

Col - I'm sure I could too.  Going to see how the 1100 motor goes first.  I may be in touch for advice  :D
