Hello all!

I'm trying to get my engine finished and trying to find someone local to Bristol to paint/powder coat my cam covers. I have to admit I'm not looking to spend a fortune as i have allot to spend on my electronics heh (just paid £550 for wiring loom and dash :( ) In an ideal world i would love a red wrinkle paint but i know alot of these paints require an oven.... this causes two problems 1) my oven just blew up 2) i dont think the straight 6 cam covers would even fit!

Pic to give you an idea on what needs paining. These are not my covers, the ones i have are stripped down to ally.

If anyone can help please let me know!

Thanks Alex

No not really. Red would do fine but even better would be a candy apple red heh.

hi Alex as I said to you ,nick at griffs is the man to powder coat them, I don't think its going to be much more than having them painted, I don't think paint, even 2 pack is going to stand the heat for very long, powder will, as its baked off at 180 200 degrees , what I would be worried about is paying for the painting then  finding its peeling away after a short  time  and having to strip it and starting again having to have it , powder coated, this is a serious bit of kit you are building ,If it was me I would save up for the powder coating ,candy apple red or a crackle finish would look very cool ,go on Alex you know you want to.

Ahh thats right i remember now. Sorry i forgot his name and did not want to bug you again for the info. Btw don't suppose you have a mobile number as feel like a nuisance when i phone the land line and make your lady walk all the way to the garage each time heh.
