Sprint event last weekend

Hi all,

Thought you might be interested in an event I took the Spire too last weekend.  It's called Leyburn Historic Sprints and takes place in the 'town' over the whole weekend.  The organisers close the 3x3 road network and run a 1km event for 190+ cars of all ages and backgrounds.  Take a look at the website  http://www.leyburnmotorsprints.com.au/

Fantastic atmosphere and great fun.  A few Caterhams and Westfields competing (including an XTR2). Won by an all out hillclimb car (Gould running a cosworth motor).

Hi Tony,

Spire did get lots of attention.  No one would believe it was road legal (even with tax disc to prove it).  Only made it to the paddock though (too late to get an entry in).  Always next year.  In the meantime, Mt Cotton hill climb beckons in October and Lakeside sprint series over the Summer (Winter)
