Now before I start one thing I rarely ever do is complain but I have been so riled up by these guys now it has changed this for me and really disappointed me as I one day hoped to own and build a Westfield.

I purchased some parts from Westfield in August last year and I am still waiting to receive some parts and all I kept getting told is that they will get back to me when they found out what is going on and when they will be available. Now the main thing to start with is that the website said that they were in stock.
I have repeatedly contacted them over the four months with little but sorry they are not in stock yet and then at the beginning of December I was promised I would have them before Christmas as they just needed powder coating.

finally I had had enough today I have decided I needed to rant I called again this morning and was told the pipe I'm waiting for is still going to be two weeks as they were still not powder coated.

I know that the kit car industry is small but with a company with the reputation of Westfield I expected better and all I got was sorry which after all the excuses I feel is not enough.

I have found a complaint line for Westfield and will be emailing them but had to pass it on. It has made it hard as there are other parts I wanted to purchase from them but will now have to think twice.

Anyway I have had my rant and will let you know what I get back from Westfield.

You got the rights to be angry!!

I would have gone ballistic if I had to wait this long.

Ask to talk to whoever is in charge there and tell him you are going to slate them publically....don't be so nice to them!

I was missing a blanking plate for my mechanical fuel pump (gone electric) just before Xmas, they said delivery by then
so I emailed the firm and complained saying it was holding me up seeing as the new pump and regulator had turned up!

They sent me another by return post next day.....result! ;)

'The Gaffer'

Westfield Sportscars should be ashamed of themselves, no way to treat a customer :(.

Agree with the above terrible way to be treated sometimes its the person who shouts the loudest that gets the best results.
Good luck with getting it sorted.

What parts are you waiting for? I have bought parts from Westfield for years and the service has been second to none. I do know there have been a few instances of people waiting for parts which are batch made but they would not be the size they are if they got it so wrong all the time
They have said that they are changing the website as it is annoying to think parts are in stock when they are not, but sometimes suppliers make promises that they cannot keep. My company has £48million of car parts in stock and we sometimes have shortages.

I would call and ask to speak with Gavin in parts, he will tell you the truth. If he is not in ask to speak with Julian who is the MD who is very responsive.

There are no excuses for not keeping you informed.

The parts I'm waiting for are a coolant pipe which they call a walking stick or hockey stick pipe and the expansion tank cap which I believe is a vauxhall part.

I understand that there are times when people have shortages no matter how big the company but how hard is it to say that the item will not be available for in excess of four months? I could have then looked for another option.

I'm really hoping this is a one off.

Thanks for the help guys and Spaximus I will call and ask to speak to the guys you have mentioned.

I will keep you all posted.

If it is just the cap I am sure I could find one of those. Firstline produce a range of those. As for the pipe if they do not have one that would not be hard to make out of Alloy. Merlin at Castle Combe would probably be able to bend and swage a pipe, probably cheaper than Westfield.
If you have any details on the cap or pictures of the cap and pipe I may well be able to help if they cannot

I will see what I can find out about it all the main thing is that it's all paid for and I have most of the kit fitted it's just the two items.

fletch_306

Well as it seems if you shout loudly and complain things get sorted.

I sent an email to the complaint manager last night and today get a reply saying that the items are being shipped immediately from the parts department.

Just hope that i won't have to again.

Always a shame when it has to come down to kicking up a fuss to get things done  >:( but at least it worked, well done!

fletch_306

Yeah I hate making a fuss

Thanks for all the help guys.
