Ratbag broke yesterday . Poxey clutch cable snapped in Church road, Redfield. Rush hour too but managed to get back to Warmley without the clutch. Puts me offroad for the weekend till I find one. Ebay will take a few days I expect.

I sympathise mate having had the same thing happen to me recently and TWO throttle cables break as well!

Do you know the exact cable you need, I'm sure a good mechanic (I have a few as mates) could get one delivered today maybe?

It's an Escort mk 2 1300 1976 flavour. The usual Ford nipple connection to the fork, long threaded adjustment through the bellhousing and a round 'eye' connection via a clevis pin through the pedal. Fairley short cable overall. One good thing come out of this, it has made me wire up the tow bar on the Transit! Just in case I need to tow Ratbag at anytime. All done and tested on the towing board now
