Daley Down Under

Westfield, Morgan, Ginetta, Noble, Radical ?

jmad

I think its Westfield as WSCC forum are talking about it, but I notice that a lot of the details have been removed from the advert making it harder to guess the company.

"10,000 sales world wide"......that must narrow it down! ::) ::)

benchmark51

Good that :-\, want to sell something but don't want to say what it is?

SPAXIMUS

It would appear to be Westfield due to many of the details that have now been taken out of the advert. It gave details of how many world wide dealers, how many cars sold and that one model was type approved in Europe (Sport Turbo is that one). It also gave turnover and net profit figures.

Now if this wasn't Westfield I would have expected a swift press release from them refuting the claims, there was no such release but after it hit the WSCC site, Facebook and Twitter the add was changed pretty swiftly to the bear minimum.

I suspect that they are looking to move it on, but to whom will be a big question. I think it is a watch this space!!

I would have thought Westfield's turnover would be higher? That is about ten cars a year maybe? Less if you take out any other service work they do. Surely they sell more than that don't they?

On the other hand not many companies other that Westfield can have had over 10,000 cars built!

CC Cyclone

I think it is westfield, all the stats (that were there) match. Turn over was listed as £1.89 million but seems to have been adjusted.... I would be surprised if a company  turned over £189k making cars that they make £130k profit on that - the figures don't seem to add up even for a one man band.

SPAXIMUS

It was £1.89 million with a £127k net profit. Now those figures could be distorted by debt repayment to the parent company for example. Until you get a full set of accounts you cannot tell the true picture.

Facial Hair Optional

£1.89 million, now that is more like it. So basically that was a typo then, someone missed off a zero! Very low % profit but as you say a full set of accounts is needed to get the true picture.

Crunchie Gears

It would be very revealing to see a set of accounts.  I wonder how much they make on Kit sales and how much on parts?

As for the overall profit; I think it is tough to make money as a kit car manufacturer or small volume producer.  It is a life style business at best. 8)
