As a follow up I have set up a gallery called Members Cars. It now contains all the pics I can find of members cars that are 'on the road' only. If you see your car you should be able to add specification etc in the discription window if you want too.

If I have missed any let me know.

We currently have 34 cars on the road, but how many of them we see on a regular basis is another question :D

Gallery is here http://bristolkitcarclub.co.uk/smf2/index.php?action=mgallery;sa=album;id=48 or can be found by pressing the gallery button at the top of page.

That's some list.....certainly a lot of tyres to kick and build/upgrade stories to talk about in the carpark at a monthly meeting there....

If only they all turned up that is :D. Who knows though, next year we might get a full house.

gingerpaul

I might even make the trip from Bracknell at some point.  :D

Cheers :)

Heres a video taken on a wet day back in July in and around Cheddar. It was a joint meet with the Apple County club.
Hope to do more meets like this next year.

Enjoyed the video .... wetted my appetite for the spring!    Mind you.....the cars would look good with a snowy background. ;D ;D

What, like this you mean?

paintman

Great picture!! The photo is really clear...must be the clean air.  Hope you had a good heater in the car. ;D

gingerpaul

No heater at all. We actually drove up to 2500m or whatever it was in t shirts.   8)

paintman

Where were the pictures taken?.... looks great driving country. :)

gingerpaul

Andorra. Mountain roads up to skis resorts, cheap fuel, cheap booze and fairly warm in the day. What's not to like.   ;D

paintman

Did you drive all  the way.... thats hell of a trip for a kit car!!

gingerpaul

Did 3000 miles in 15 days!

Any break-downs?  I would not trust my car at the moment to get to Dover!!!

gingerpaul

A few little hickups.

I had a fuse go due to something odd going on with the lighter plug. It's fine when you don't use it though. I'll fix it when I sort the wiring over the winter.

I accidentally activated the anti hijack system and immobilised the car leaving a toll booth going on to an autoroute. A quick press of the remote fixed that.   :-[

The worst problem was a due to the wrong combination of clutch fork and release bearing. Somehow it managed to come off (at another toll funnily enough) so we had no clutch. Luckily there were double height curbs next to the office at the toll that we had pulled into to enquire about toll transponders. I fixed it by the side of the road.

If you saw the pictures a couple of months ago with my engine coming out it is this problem that I was fixing as I now have the correct parts. I've fitted a new engine at the same time but it has an oil leak that I'm trying to trace at the moment. It's been in twice now and will be coming out again when I can muster the energy.  :(

Here's a video of the car going up part of the road leading to the ski resort where the pictures were taken.
