Couldn't avoid a large black spot on the road last night between Churchill and Congresbury and sure enough a huge bang.

Just after the offending pot hole there were about 6-8 cars all pulled up hazards on and all with burst front left tyres.

Luckily mine was intact but it had a rather large hernia (replaced this morning).    >:(

If traveling that route be a little extra vigilent these pot holes are deep at the moment.

Surely you can claim a new tyre of the council can't you.....  Its worth a try and I bet you won't be the only one claiming.

I would be really pi**ed if I smashed an alloy wheel on one and had to buy a new set! >:(

Thanks for the heads up.

Yeah you should be able to make a claim for a new tyre, its probable that your tracking is out too.

Have that set up and have the suspension checked for damage as it may be too late to claim if damage is noticed later.

My son got pulled on Monday afternoon - suspected drink driving - swerving all over the road - after being breathalized and all documents checked  the coppers wanted to know why he was all over the road  - he stated driving round all the potholes - fed up with changing track rod ends

this actually happened - the roads at the moment are a joke

I can well believe it, the roads are a disgrace. Only saving is sometimes the big yellow or white circles of paint around the holes but you shouldent have to keep your eys open all the time for pot holes, so many more important things to be aware of.
