Richard

Just had a quick measure of mine out of curiousity and appears to be 40l ish if my maths is about right. Struck me as quite large for a kit car. using BM bits it will have two feeds.

Any idea what size yours is ?

Bulldog Bri

The Locost has one from a Triumph Spitfireand it's apparently 37.6ltrs ;D

Not really sure about mine. All I know is it took a third longer to fill than Dave H's Westfield. The tank in mine is sort of 'L' shaped so has more capacity than a regular box so I'm guesstimating about 38 ltrs.

I'm 30 litres which I reckon would give me a range of about 120mls before I run out, so say about 100mls max range as you need something in the tank when you fill up.

Same as Brian, mine's from an old Triumph Spitfire.

Thanks for the info Bri, saved me working it out :D

I had a choice of 6 or 8.5 gallons (27 or 38 litres approx) , so I went for the bigger one.

I dont know, I put £40 in and have just over 1/2 a tank on the gauge - trouble is I use it so quick it's hard to work out just what is going on  ;) prob 12-15 gallons

Is that 1 tank or 2.  Doesnt the GT have 2 tanks?

Quarrycars

If you had a Microjoule a 12 gallon tank would take you about 128,000 miles, unfortunatly I don't think they make a kit version of it! ?

yes 2 tanks one each side of you - just hope that nobody gives you a shunt in the side, could be the fastest I ever bail out of a car

Have been told that they are filled with  foam for safety

Mine's about 36 litres measured externally, so probably 34 litres. It's enough for about 180 miles or so. Not terrible for a 3.5 litre V8 Lotus 7.
