Getting the old Zetec out the easy way :P

I hope to get the new Blacktop tomorrow and start assembling the sump and making all the old bits fit ;D ;D ;D

Hairy Santa

you go steady there, that looks like a lot of work, got a sweat on here just looking at the pictures  ;)

gunna be brill when finished

Nice one Ed. Can I borrow your engine hoist, I do have a forklift licence?  ;D Better still when your done you can do mine.  :P

You got a engine quick mate, or did you already have this one ready?
Also do you have to change much of the bits from Zetec to the blacktop toyota?

Lucky Ed

I'm only swapping one Zetec for another. It's just a case of fitting a new idler pulley to get the water pump to run the right way,
modify the alternater bracket to fit round the different oil pump, change the flywheel, clutch and spigot bearing, fit the new
baffled sump/windage tray along with ARP con rod bolts while I'm in there.

Hopefully the rest will be a straight swap.

Shouldn't take long :o 8)

Nice to see you practicing ready for my swap!!  The Tiger is a bit tighter and needs to ocme out with the box, most drop the assembly to the floor then lift the front of the car up and back over the engine and box.  Can't wait to see your new motor in its new home!!
