Richard

This topic seems to come up from time to time so I'll start a post and add to it over time or if you have details of weights please feel free to add in yourself.

I do have access to every weight of every component from washer / nut to block etc., so this could get very detailed.

However first engine weights in a bit more detail, starting with the one you'd expect me to start with, I've tried to include all small parts within each section and have done a little rounding for speed and of course this is without fluids.

'The Gaffer'

Good post Rich.

But just to add perspective, I weigh 95.25 Kilos, but with fluids and a curry on a Saturday night its about 95.50 :)

Its just to point that the driver weight can make a substantial difference to performance.

Reminded me of an engine tuning mate of mine getting an interogation from a 19 stone geezer who wanted more power from his car, my mate said loose some f'ing weight. You can imagine how that went down, but hey, a beer belly weighs much more than a cylinder head and bearings.

BKCC joint gym membership maybe?
