Track Day Booked

Just booked my second track day @ Castle Combe on the 17th April

Now to try and get it quieter so I don't fail the noise test

We are looking to do some club track days so keep an eye out for this. 
Are you going to do Llandow? there is no noise test.

I'm hoping to get to a track day in March too, but I'm not due to get my gearbox back until the end of Feb, so I'll have to wait and see.

Third time lucky I hope, just got another silencer made and fingers crossed this will take me well below 100dba and keep everyone happy at Castle Combe in a few weeks

Good luck with the noise test. I had a new can made by Infinity Exhausts, but I was a bit disappointed when it tested at 97 db this week at Combe. Mind you the test was a bit haphazard as there was one guy doing it so he couldn't watch the revs and the meter at the same time, and didn't have a probe to measure the distance. The main thing is that it passed, I just hope it does again next month and it might even be quieter as it hadn't got properly hot before the test.

I always run the car a while before the test as I'm told it does run quieter when hot.

I mean the exhaust had never got hot, so hopefully the Acoustafil will have expanded during the trackday and will be doing it's job properly now - time will tell.

Well car already for tomorrow, been driving around with new exhaust can so hopefully the Acoustfil has now expanded and hopefully doing its job, will be driving down tomorrow so again hopefully this will also help with the noise.
